Constructed Languages.

Conlanger Cameron Rutherford’s Honours degree thesis centered constructed languages (or conlangs) in speculative fiction. They have lead a two-part workshop for Carclew’s Worlds Within Worlds event on constructing a fictional/fantasy language. They can help you bring your fictional culture to life by developing a naturalistic language (or not so naturalistic depending on your wishes), as complex or simple as you need. All of the services below can be combined as necessary for your unique project, be it a novel, film, series, game, or otherwise.

Sound System

A sound system is the base of all languages. You will be provided with an inventory of sounds (a phonology), the rules for which they can be put together to create words and names (a phonotactic guide), and a pronunciation guide.

Grammar System

A grammar system allows for words to be modified and put together into sentences. Possible grammar components and rules may cover language evolution, pluralisation, negation, word order, case and declension, noun class systems, grammatical gender systems, tense and more. A sound system is necessary for the creation of a grammar system.
